    Nuno Tone Chase

Good tone! Just try to keep your playing a bit more in time, you're a bit ahead of the beat when it should be slightly the other way if anything. Reaper is the only DAW for me too!

Guitar Sound or Tone you are bored with?

For me it's those super-saturated software amp sounds a lot of metal players/producers use. Not bad sounds by any means they just sound a bit too samey and lacking any character. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if some modern metal I like has been recorded with that method haha!

    Metallica’s Rigs 2023 tour

Never been blown away by Metallica's live tone and like someone mentioned before they seem to be going for less gain and more midrange which makes a lot of sense mix-wise in a big stadium, I just think it lacks some power and beefy-ness.

Bassier speaker for a 1x12 cab

Thanks for the replies everyone, might look into the redback... or a cheap EQ in the loop first!

Bassier speaker for a 1x12 cab

I have a Zilla cab loaded with an 8 ohm 75w Celestion G12H Creamback, I was just looking for recommendations for something a bit "fuller" with more bass. Trying to squeeze as much power out of the thing as possible haha. Any tips would be very useful, thanks! Mike

For the love of Les Paul...

If any of these stay in tune for an entire set I'll be extremely surprised ?

    Dave Murray now using Fractal

These huge touring acts like Maiden or Def Leppard could definitely afford to have as much gear as they like, so I sometimes feel the switch to modellers is more for the techs' benefit not having to service and deal with tube amps and of course the modeller companies for advertising purposes...

    Mammoth new tune!

Fantastic solo, the song is really great too, he's definitely forging his own path and writing good rock music, not just doing any old shit on the back of the VH name. Great stuff

    Best Recorded SLO-100 tones

The intro to No Surprise is SUCH a fantastic tone whatever it is. Reach... is definitely an underrated Ratt album.

    New Megadeth, Chapter II

Musically really cool, but not into the military fetishism lyrics, kind of corny.

Metal backing track in E Major

Won't spam with every new one I do, just trying to get them a bit more attention. Let me know if it's good to jam over! Thanks, Mike

Van Halen - Balance Tone - Don't Tell Me Cover

Sounds spot on, I think this is EVH's best post-1984 tone.

Pop Rock backing track in D

Have a go over this! Thanks, Mike

    Megadeth - We'll Be Back

It's really good I think, Kiko's leads are really clean and the production is nice and crisp.

Different use for the EQ on a Boogie

So I have a Boogie Mk5 25w and the way I use the EQ isn't to do the classic U-shaped mid scoop thing, I use it as an in-built boost for solos (Along with a Blues Driver), but also as a boost for the 2nd and 4th pickup positions which tend to be quieter on the clean channel which is really handy...
