uber/rectifier, rectifier/archon blended typically for the high gain stuff before the MT.

I've owned a lot a high gain amps and still have the MT100. It's an awesome sounding amp. It's lead channel is thick and has a lot of gain. It's darker or smoother on the top end and very crunchy in the low mids while still being tight in attack not needing a boost, the mid range is natural...

I added a footswitchable metro effects loop to it as well. Fun little amp to mod and it sounds great. Even with moving the circuit around and using the stock boards it's pretty quiet. It would be fun to see what you come up with Rob.

For the transformers to move that much it makes you wonder how the headshell and chassis held up to that hit.

I've owned quite a few Marshall and the SL-X was one of them, it was one of the best sounding 900's Marshall put out but still thought the JVM, JCM2000 series sounded far better then it to me, if we are talking high gain. Deferentially built a bit better however.
