With my VH2 i only use an EP Booster on channel 1 to give more body and dynamic ...no need for second channel ...it's a Diezel

have bought a vh2 but wanted first a Paul ....clean channel is the same so don't worry ...you'll be impressed....the second channel of the VH2 is weird always have to clean with my guitar volume ....at 10 on my strat ( with humbuckers dimarzios ) it's like this channel is a lead channel , at 8/9...

Is the VH4 more versatile ? more rock ,less metal amp ?

I have the same feeling about the VH2 ( mine has KT77 ) .....channel 1 really pleasant ....from clean to crunch , very open sounding..... add an overdrive and it can cover a lot of tones ; but what bothered me is the second channel : supposed to be channel 3 of the VH4 and as you mentionned...
