so, I'm familiar with the issue of extra hum induced in rack rigs where you need to isolate each piece from the rails of the rack it's mounted on.
previously, I used Hum-Frees to take care of the problem and they worked great.
I'm putting together a new rack rig now and I only have one set (4)...
for rack rig, using a preamp for all my sounds, just using the power amp to make it LOUD AND AUDIBLE.
The rocktron unit seems cool with the reactance but is it work the extra dough?
just thought it would be fun to share some music!

So, I've got one of these units on the way. seems like there's a small group of users here on RT.
I was wondering if anyone would like to share some clips of their GSP1101? and perhaps some presets?
there's clips and videos on the web but not that many and they don't seem to be in many styles.
ok, I'm getting back into the modeling/preamp/rack setup again.... and it seems like it's time for me to get hip and with it and figure out what everyone is talking about.
Can someone explain speaker/cabinet impulses to me?
what's the difference between these and say a Line 6 model of a cab...
I was looking for a resource online that gave GENERAL descriptions for tube types. I understand each brand and each tube for that matter may have it's own nuances.
Is there a "quick reference" guide to what each tube type sounds like: EL34, 6L6, 6550, KT88, etc etc etc?
not hating on Petrucci.....but wtf? is there wind indoors blowing his hair about? just a funny picture
That said, this is taken from the Dimarzio homepage, on the Crunchlab and Liquifire info pages. I just recently installed those pickups and they are beyond amazing. LOVE them.
Anyone have one of these? I am highly interested after reading it's feature (especially the channel switching)
I don't even know how to look this up but perhaps one of you gentlemen could answer my question:
I have an amp that uses a stereo jack for footswitching. if you put a mono cable in it...
Well, lets see your picks guys!

so, I believe I'll be getting some pickups for my Ibanez this year for christmas. YAY!
but, I've been trying to get all my details down before they arrive so there's no issues on installation day.
I've been reading something about Ibanez's 5 way switch being wired differently from a standard 5...
trying to figure out if it's possibly to run the amp in this configuration...
it's got a high and low input and the manual says that the low input is approx 50% less gain...sounds like a nice way to change up the sound a bit.
would it be possible to run my guitar into one of those a/b boxes...
love the old sabbath stuff and their terrible awful haunting atmosphere. a lot of people seem to call it stoner...doom...sludge...metal?
what other suggests do you have for a sabbath fan that digs modern metal too?
2 years later and I'm still kicking myself every time I think I have my amp gas cured I start thinking about the TT....
anyone else love these little toaster bastards?
When I run my delay in my effects loops I am experiencing something odd.
even with the pedal turned off I am still hearing a VERY LOW VOLUME delay on my signal.
here's my signal path
guitar > Boss SD1 > Randall Head > Cabinet
effects loop send > MXR Smart Gate > Boss DD3 > effects loop...
