A lot of talk about minor differences in Revs, but nobody’s talking speakers or tubes?
For me, the recto’s thru the Mesa V30’s is a different experience than Greenbacks.
I always preferred Greenbacks and EL34’s. I had an early rev F rackmount that was one of the best amps I’ve ever played...
Yup, the Roccaforte’s are a beast.
I had a Custom 40 that Friedman modded for me along time ago and I really regret selling that.
I loved the amp before it was modded also. Very Hiwatt inspired.
I have hours and hours of bootleg live Uli from the 70’s-80’s and he is a very, very good player with dexterity to spare.
Yngwie did take it to another lever, but the connection between these two is so obvious. It makes Yngwie sound silly when he tries to deny it.
I don’t know why anyone would keep a list of amps?
I mean, I’m into…..or WAS into gear as much or more than anyone I’ve ever met, but it never occurred to me I’d need to keep tally.
It’s actually kind of embarrassing how much money I spent on gear. I wish I would have invested in the market...
The tones on this album are perfect in my opinion.
I remember reading an article with Glenn Tipton and he said they both used 4 hole Marshall’s with a treble booster out front, plugged into the bassier channel.
Sounds like a badass modded Marshall to me. Just goes to show,
More than one way...
I had one that I used as a backup to a Soldano HR50 in my live rig.
It sounded good and worked fine for me. Held together at loud band volume. I did not use the loop, so that was not a concern.
I think it’s a solid amp if you can get one at a good price? No idea what the going rate is now...
Best I played was an old 80’s Dean Baby Z.
Killer guitars and they almost play themselves.
Has to be the set neck from the 80’s. There are a ton of cheap Korean crap that isn’t even close.
These guitars are short scale tho. Never bothered me in the least...
I’m not sure why people still think this band is relevant in any way?
Just throw on the old stuff if you need a shot. They will never be young and hungry again.
Yeah…….SiriusXM is just one small step removed from the FM format that made us all hate the radio.
I get why people listen, but it’s not without its flaws.
I like this. Very cool. I’ll dig a little deeper on these guys.
As far as Sleep Token, they aren’t for everyone I’m sure.
I’m amazed that I’m finding newer music I can actually enjoy. I had all but given up. Alas……there is hope for me yet!
I had a Pearce rack head.
Solid state and sounded REALLY good.
Bought it on EBay from a guy that said he got it from Holdsworth.
Honestly sounded very good as a low volume noodle amp while watching TV. No pedals needed except a bit of delay in the loop.
From my Reverb sale……
