Intentionally didn't mention I picked up a Line 6 amp in the title just to clickbait you guys :p
But anyway. Spider Valve 2x12 combo for $50. Seller listed as non-working - powers up but no sound. After chatting with him he thought maybe a fuse blew, or maybe a bad tube, but didn't care to get...
I'm fond of my 3534, and I don't have a noisy loop (or it's just minimal and doesn't bother me). I do think the Red channel has a touch too much gain, but it's quite usable at noon and still gets pretty heavy. If it had the "sag" that the 101b has it would be damn near perfect.
I used to swear by them. Sounded like a cross between V30 and Greenback to my ears. Over the years they lost a lot of top end and they sound very dark, and also not as efficient as other speakers (not as loud).
AutoCAD LT and a stripped down Solidworks embedded in a proprietary nesting program. We do laser cut steel parts. Here in a few months we'll have a press brake to do some 2nd phase fab.
Hand jobs are always ok in a pinch. :p
Here's my initial thought on pull through sharpeners - and I may be totally wrong about this:
It's only 1 set angle to work with. Each knife can have different blade thicknesses and edge angles, and some are personal preference after you get them sharp...
Just bought tickets this morning for an absurd amount  , but it's mostly for my 11 y/o son who will be thrilled. Wife and I have never seen Metallica or Pantera (or Zakk) live, so I figure may as well do it so we can check it off the list.
Thought I'd see if any R/T folk are going.
Honestly, I don't mind it if I'm next to someone using one. Anytime I've let somebody shoot any of my carbines with a brake or comp, I'm standing right next to them. If I don't complain about it, I don't expect others to. Besides, that's what ear pro is for, right? :dunno:
Indoors is...
Bad mic placement can kill a good sounding amp.
Good mic placement can make a tiny practice amp sound great. I think Nuno and Warren DeMartini had good luck with setups like that in the early days.
I can't give a concrete opinion on this one. I do think that playing clean gives more of a voice to what you're playing, but then again maybe as long as you're hitting the notes and the band is still jiving then it's all good?
Overall I think playing clean is akin to singing clean. Nice, clear...
Rick James. Sadly passed away a week ago at the young age of 11 from complications stemming from COPD, respiratory infection, and diabetes remission. Adopted him almost 3 years ago and wanted to give him one final home since he's been in and out of the shelter quite a few times. Big 16 pound...
My wanna-be entries to the club. Started out with cheap parts to barely pass the 10ft test, but I'm slowly getting the real stuff on these guys.

ALG ACT is in my Mock18 civi clone, and can't complain. Polish up a mil-spec trigger and it's essentially the same thing.
My favorite inexpensive 2 stage trigger is LaRue MBT-2S. Tried CMC but I don't like triggers that light.
I like to use a simple Lansky system or a Work Sharp Ken Onion. Eventually I will learn/practice how to whetstone sharpen, but for now I don't have complaints on how I get my blades sharp. I EDC knives with good steel too (Benchmade, ZT, etc), so the downside is it takes more time to sharpen...
Another vote for Weller for a decent cheap solder station. I consider myself a hobbyist level amp modder so I'm not using it all day every day, but I've only had 3 Weller irons for the past ~20 years, and still have all 3.
I would like to get a Hakko unit, but for right now I figure why fix...
