You’re a fucking Robin Trower/Frank Marino clone with half the speed and not nearly as good or successful. Show me the Madison Square Garden CarlF performances.
I was hoping for a magical device to allow full float and flutter but no pitch drop when bending strings. So unison bends are just like a stoptail. And still feel great. Is that so much to ask?
Never understood that especially when you can get a good 70s cab with Green/Cream/Black backs for less.
I trust you on those ranges and agree and look at the bargain between a ‘74-‘80 cab vs some of the newer cabs. A ‘74 Creamback cab can sound killer. A ‘78 Blackback cab can sound way better...
Those are just the typical Piher carbon film in Marshalls even tho they are a similar color.
IMO $2500 is “yesterday’s” inflated price. Things aren’t moving much and the digital alternatives are making big amps less popular.
Did you check his mic placement and did you use your own mic? Sometimes sound men just grab the next mic and it’s a fubar mic.
Just trying to help avoid it. It does suck.
Fret a note lightly at the third fret. Now look at the gap between string and first fret. It should have a tiny, tiny gap. The third and sixth strings vibrate wider so they need a little more gap than say the first string.
Can you cop the early Chris Squire (Yes) tone with it? IIRC he just plugged into a Marshall for some/all of the very early stuff. Something like Roundabout but they all had incredible (to me) bass tone.
Beautiful guitar. The Gibson open-book headstock is just a clunky dreadnaught acoustic type of headstock. It’s not a great looking or optimally functional headstock. It’s just what people are accustomed to. To me the Heritage headstock is superior.
I had a 12-pound H150 that was gorgeous and...
The amps appear to be switched on. But nothing is lit on the amps or the rack.
I was just pointing out that what you're hearing is not the rig. Probably a capture of his rig tho.
It does sound good. I guess the whole thing was done digital and all the amps were for show. On second listen, Adam doesn't seem to have quite the 'edge of uncontrollable feedback' going but it's still close.
Maynard missed quite a few notes but that band is so damn good.
I drink enough carbs so I don't eat much carbs or drink soda. Sugar-free anything tastes weird so I'd just rather not. I'm that guy getting the ladies cut filet (or the salmon) with a veg and a side salad no croutons. And two IPAs.💪
