your favorite modern blues amp tones

Delta Hurricane back in the early 90s was one of my fave albums. Then I saw him opening for Gary Moore at the Still Got The Blues tour, the 2 shows in the US tour lol. Last year he was out guesting alongside Josh in Bonnamassa’s band.

I'm recovering well enough considering I didn't.live too healthy lol. Which is more important than the financial thing. SLO 30 vs 100 bottom end?

For my money if a bigger bottom.with oomph is what I want I go 100 over 50 let alone 30 any day. As for SLO...I'd get a used 100 for the reason that I'd want the DeYoung tranny in it. I had Mike build me an Avenger with it that slayed. Heck I wouldn't even want O-netics iron it which is what...

What was you first "Real" amp?

Had totally forgotten another fire incident... Almost a decade ago in India, a student of mine drove my car off the highway and flipped it upside down, engine compartment catching fire...thank god for villagers pulling us out. That was the only time in an ambulance until the fire a few month back.

First of thanks for hipping me into some players I want aware of. And yes I’d very much would like for you to send me some of your links in pm. Back to the subject, all amazing technicians you showed but none with the fire of Yamashita. Yes by comparison he is sloppy. But for me I can let...

What's with Covers and Chasing After Other Musician's Tones?

I’m at a loss how you think of Rhoads as the measurement of amazing and then Yamashita not being good enough. By your logic just about any current burner will outdo Rhoads. But hey, I’d love to listen to some links of your competition performances that shows you owning Yamashita.

What's with Covers and Chasing After Other Musician's Tones?

Interesting take, but I certainly didn’t talk about crafting solos. IMO those should be improvised. I was referring to composition, and early Morse stuff like Twiggs Approved, Introduction, etc…Spring to mind. As for “better” technicians, all the guys you mention (leaving Moore out are Rock...
