The Les Paul Studio, as I understand it, is designed to play and sound like a Standard without the aesthetic appointments. A Studio with binding makes about as much sense to me as a solid body 335 would.
I get the same vibe from my Wolfgang Special. Compared to my Super Strats it feels way more like a Les Paul for sure, but without the weight or the heel. Wolfgangs rule!
