Was the TJ dialed in correctly? It’s definitely tighter and more articulate than the Rev Blue IME. That being said, the Ultra sounds amazing here.

This amp seems pretty polarizing. Waiting to see if one comes up for sale when someone decides that it isn’t for him.

Thanks for the reply. I also love my Rev 2 with a Maxon OD 808 boost. I had KT88s in it for the longest time but recently switched back to JJ E34Ls. I'm reminded of why this amp was designed around the EL34. I'm curious to see how the Uber Ultra handles KT88s or a mixture of EL34s and KT88s.

Anybody do some scooped tones with it? Most clips I’ve heard have been mid heavy.

It’s interesting that they are using JJ preamp tubes… when did they switch from the Chinese 12AX7Bs?

Honestly, I think the original Uberschalls or the Twin Jet may be more suitable for your needs. They are really thick, chunky amps that do that hard rock thing really well.

No way to know, but I would guess they don’t make more than hundreds or a couple thousand of their flagship amps like the Ecstasy, Shiva, Uberschall, etc.

What kind of tubes does it come with? Still Chinese preamp and JJ power tubes?
