For the tone I would want to hear for that riff it’s 3 then 1 then 2 for me.

    FourT6and2 and the beast

Ha ha - do it! Always amazes me how many of us neckbeards there are out there…. I’d be more confident posting a pic of my painted models than a clip of my guitar playing, that’s for sure

    Mark IIC+ Reissue with Ola

And suddenly the 5 minute miler keyboard warriors were filled with a false sense of security. Note, however, that @DanTravis62 has not disclosed his time over the first 100 metres. That’s what you really need to worry about….

Tell me about the Mesa Mark IV

I wouldn’t bet against a full set of reissues over the coming years. 2c++, every stripe of Mark III, Mark IV As and Bs, every revision of rectifier in black/chrome and regular finishes….the list goes on. Release one or two a year and then it’s on to the aged versions which are aged and “tuned”...

Mark IIC+ Reissue vs. OG 1983 IIC+ DRGX: The Ultimate A/B Blind Comparison

I totally agree with @TheGreatGreen. Gibson/Mesa really should be thanking you for your work here - you’ve done them a massive favour.

All original from me. I don’t have many skills, but wordplay is actually one of the few.

Mark IIC+ Reissue vs. OG 1983 IIC+ DRGX: The Ultimate A/B Blind Comparison

I have to say that despite the ribbing the reissue is getting in the main thread, in your vids it sounded really good. On the blind A/B, I focussed on picking which I preferred and I was pretty much 50/50 between the reissue and OG across all clips. Nice job!

MESA/Boogie® Mark IIC+ full demo & overview ft. Doug West & Tommy Waugh

Ha ha - be my guest! I’ve added a second verse and some variation on the first two choruses for completeness (below for ease of reference)… Say your prayers, little one, And don't forget, my son, How much you paid Gibson, I plug in, dial it in, And I do not grin, As my amp starts to hum. It’s...

PRS Custom 22 - your experience?

I have a Custom 22. Beautifully made guitar, looks great, plays great. Pickups in mine are a low wind PAF style unit called the 53/10. Not sure they were all that common. Mine has the Wide/Thin neck carve. I can give you some comparisons to other necks if that’s the same on the one you’re...

    It's almost 2025, who's using Diezel?

Hard to explain in words, as it’s a feel as much as a sound. An amp expert could probably explain what’s happening in a technical sense, but the best non-technical description I’ve seen was that notes compress (sag) for a split second when you hit them before releasing. It creates a sense of...

MESA/Boogie® Mark IIC+ full demo & overview ft. Doug West & Tommy Waugh

Thanks for taking the time to shoot this. Really enjoy your vids and this one is no exception ?? Having listened to the vid ‘blind’ and through headphones I preferred the original slightly - it seemed slightly more vocal. That being said, they sound very similar and it’ll be interesting to hear...

    It's almost 2025, who's using Diezel?

VH4 owner here. I think the lack of bounce/sag and the high fidelity quality of the sound is what gives it that processed vibe. That being said, if I stop looking for the bounce and just enjoy the sounds it makes, it’s phenomenal.

Tell me about the Mesa Mark IV

Never played an A but I’d say my v early B (A/B?) isn’t massively compressed. It definitely has a liquid feel to it, but in a way that makes it fun to play rather than in a way that squashes the tone or loses dynamics. There’s plenty of harmonic content and you can dial it in to make it plenty...

Tell me about the Mesa Mark IV

Ah, not sure about LOG’s stuff - when I agreed with peterc52 that was about the A being the more open of the two Mark IVs.
