    Steavens Poundcake 50w info

Great thread / info - thanks all. I guess the only piece we’re missing is how the MK I stacks up to the MK II/III. I think @DanTravis62 might have played a MK I and maybe a MK II or III….? I know @SBlue had a MK I at some point.

    Steavens Poundcake 50w info

Also interested to hear how the amp changed from MK I to MK II to MK III. I noticed the different control layouts but would be interested in any tonal differences - eg: brighter / darker, more / less compression, more / less gain etc

I know the economy is bad but ……

Yep, I’ve just a lot less cash to spend on what (for me) is a hobby at the end of the day. Plenty of amps and guitars I’d love to own, but none I need to own - not when there are more pressing things I need to spend my money on. Hopefully things will improve soon. And I’m over in the UK - gear’s...

    Herbert or JP2C

Probably not much use as I haven’t played a JP2C or a Herbert, but I own a VH4 and a Mark IV so can comment more generally on Mark vs Diezel. Very different amps - the VH4 is stiffer, has loads of gain but is less liquid. I find the Mark IV to cut better and it has a more focussed, percussive...

    Larry is banned?

Out of interest, how many people are you guys aware of on the waiting list right now? Appreciate that not everyone on the list is going to be a RigTalk member or known to one, but would be interested in how many people you collectively know who are waiting

    Diezel VH4 vs VH2 - Interesting

Was really surprised he had to dime the Deep. I’ve never felt the need to crank the Deep on my VH4 and low end is definitely not lacking! My VH4 is only a few years old so I’m assuming its the same revision as the one in the video, but who knows. Maybe they’ve changed it a bit since.

    Larry is banned?

Any bets on Larry moving the message that got him banned into his signature? Would that trigger another ban?

Headfirst Evil Joe - the Evil Joe Barresi amplifier - NEW RELEASE

Not the current production version, but here’s the original, demoed by Jason. Loving the sound of this (much more).

Headfirst Evil Joe - the Evil Joe Barresi amplifier - NEW RELEASE

I think Jason is the best demo-er of his amps. His walkthroughs of the Alta 100 sound immense. Looking forward to his demo of the Evil Joe.

What are the “new” Legacy bands

Muse released their first album in September 1999, so they are really close to qualifying for this

    Amps you want to try

Just checked my emails. So last I heard the delay was because Henric needed to get various reg approvals in order to sell to the public, but the project was still a go - just taking time. That was well over a year ago, so things have no doubt moved on since then.

    Amps you want to try

I might be wrong, but I thought he’d put it on hold (or it’s just taking ages) due to all the regulatory red tape in Euro land. I might well be misspeaking here, so don’t quote me on that.

    These guys still sound great

Yep great band. I’d meant to say that my friend thought Weezer sounded good (edited for clarity), although he said Pumpkins were good too

    These guys still sound great

A friend of mine saw them and Smashing Pumpkims the other weekend. He also said Weezer sounded great and even though he doesn’t normally listen to them, he really enjoyed their set
