Maybe it's been mentioned already: the guy (Michael Mayer) who owned 75% of Dover Amps is involved with those high priced furniture pieces at Valhalla Amplification.

I have and would. Close long-time friends only, not general acquaintances. Even then, it depends on what they hope to accomplish. No horror stories to share, thankfully.

I have great results with the Whammy Ricochet. Handles down to A# pretty well. Any lower it smears notes a bit, but I like it a lot better than the Drop.

I travel with 2. I hit them strings pretty hard but don't encounter much if any string breakage using .11-.56 sets. I take 2 for peace of mind more than anything. My band uses one alternate tuning and I punch the Whammy Ricochet to get there.
