I still do this one now and then. This, MOP, and AJFA are my favorites from them.
IMO Show No Mercy destroys anything in the early 80s in the realm of metal.
Early Def Leppard does it for me as far as the Marshall rock tone goes.
I'd say it's just a slightly improved ac/dc tone really. The difference is probably just the pickups they used.
No only the pairs need to be of the same color and installed in the proper slots as pairs.
You can even use different varieties of 6L6 and different colors in the same amp.
For example;
green 445, blue 440, blue 445--------------blue 445,blue 440, green 445
The green 445 are your outer slots...
All you need is three matched pairs that all fall within that medium range. No need for matched sets.
They must be installed in pairs going from inner to outer or vise-versa.
No it does if you do it correctly. It works perfectly to full strength. I do it all the time with Boss 12v pedals.
If you are using separate wall-warts and/or using a pro-level source with isolated grounds;
Say you have one or two, or a few old-style 12v Boss pedals. Just run a small...
12v ACA-style pedals will run perfectly off of a PSA adapter, or any 9v as long as they are daisy-chained with at least one regular 9v pedal in the chain also.
Oh I see. I've never used a tuner in my chain, only to do setups so I've never ran into the clipping issue. I guess that is why Boss don't always work in loops if the signal is too hot.
I wonder if the Waza tuner clips like that, and what about when the Waza is set on true-bypass. (?)
Those...
There are multiple buffers in a Boss pedal. The input buffers are fine, it is the output buffers that are lacking for driving long runs.
The output buffer doesn't matter unless it is the last pedal before the cable that goes to the amp.
Boss uses the fet-style buffers that do not stack-up well...
It's a gear nerd show, so how f'n exciting is it supposed to be guys lol?
For the record I think Marc does a fine job. It depends on the guest as to whether I listen/watch it or not, but I'm sometimes surprised that certain guest I think will be really good are not always, and then others I...
