I had an Archon for a while. It was one of my favorite high gain amps. Mine had an issue where the volume would constantly drop. Apparently there's a design flaw in the original MKI version, something with the ground. I took mine to an amp tech and had some caps replaced. I later sold it to a...
Novo guitars are great. I had a client that I maintained and set up several of his Novo's and do a few pickup swaps. They're fun guitars and something way out of the ordinary. Makes you play and do things a bit different.
That being said, I blocked Rhett Shull years ago because he had the...
Bridge: Bare Knuckle Black Dog - Bridge
Neck: Bare Knuckle Slow Hand or Triptych
I pretty much only have HS guitars and I use BKP for everything. They make sure to wire everything to match when you write it in your order form. I have BKP Ragnarok and Cobra in all of mine, but those are really...
I bought my amps before the craze for them. Nobody wanted these until recently.
I paid $3300+/- in 2021 for an SRG IIC+ that I later had to get a new head shell as well as servicing and re-capping at Mesa. $300-400 for a new head shell and another $400+/- for servicing, $200-300 shipping. - I...
I concur. The in the room feel for a IIC+ is a big part of the experience. They are all so impossibly loud and pissed off. It's impossible to record or capture. Cranking a IIC+'s Master to 3 literally scrambles your brains with how loud it is. The Mark V, VII, JP2C and Badlander just does not...
I've owned multiple IIC+'s and have had friends bring their IIC+'s over. Every single IIC+ sounded different from another, even the same wattage. Sixty Watts (SRG) sounded different from each other. Hundred Watts (HRG) sounded vastly different from each other. Never had a chance to pit two DRG's...
My Aristides are the best feeling guitars I've ever owned. Made all the more better by the fact I never have to adjust the neck, worry about fret sprout, fret leveling or refrets.
Pretty much identical. Here's two old ones, DRG and SG
It's weird to me to see dudes talk about IIC+'s without Randall or even Mike B in the video considering they are the two people responsible for the amp. I also agree with @Racerxrated .. What the fuck is with those settings and EQ...
I recently picked up an 87 ESP Mirage from the 48th Street Custom Shop. It needs a lot of work, fret leveling, binding repair, body crack repair, etc.. According to the owner who ordered it in person, it was the first year ESP offered the Original Floyd Rose, which lines up with everything I'm...
Gibson fucking scumbags can't even get my authentic orange indicator light right. Money hungry pigs wringing the leftover cumrag that is Mesa just to ooze out a little bit more mojo to make a quick buck.
TAKE YOUR BLUE LIGHT AND SHOVE IT MESA. I BACK THE BLUE BUT NOT THIS KIND OF BLUE, YOU...
$6-7k Seems fair if you have the documentation of the mods/work done to it by Mike B. If you don't have documents, firing off an email to Mesa and at least having a confirmation that it's a IIC+ in your inbox will smooth things over in a deal. Yours is somewhat of a rarity because it's a...
If it makes you feel any better, the stickers were removable and had no effect on the guitar. The wear and tear on the guitar are from my relative and myself gigging the guitar constantly for the past 30 years.
I expect the work I pay for to be competent and complete. I regularly do refrets...
The Guitar:
So I've had this 93 PRS CU24 for a very long time now. It was passed down to me from a family member who passed as I am the only one in the family that plays guitar. Needless to say, the guitar means a lot to me.
The work I've done:
So this guitar is warm/dark. Since it will never...
The Key is trash. I use the Red Bishop or the Ibanez EJK1000 or E-Jack. When you run into situations where the saddle has to be moved up a ton, the Key regularly gets stuck. Those other tools make it so painless. I also block the floyds from the trem route on the back rather than the top so...
E Standard Thrash/Death Metal - Maxon OD808. Adds in a little bit of mids that you like to see when scooping Mesa amps.
C or B Standard Melodic Death Metal - 33 Types. Adds a lot of aggression and top end to take out the muddiness of low tunings.
Jumping into this thread way late. They messed up the pilot light. Blue Pilot Light = III, Orange Pilot Light = II. It's one of the easiest ways for IIC+ nerds to quickly tell the difference. Small little details like that make me wonder if other small details were overlooked.
