@DanTravis62 - Are there any specific riffs you want to hear?? I'm gonna do a video soon for my Satch JVM, and I'd like to try and do something you guys would be happy with.
The service manual does say:
Here's some audio clips, first in drop B and then drop C:

You can hear how there's no clarity, it is very fuzzy, and sounds like a fuzz pedal. The...
That certainly doesn't sound like a typical experience. If you couldn't get any gain out of the crunch channel, then your amp was broken way beyond tubes IMO.
Precisely.
I find on my bridge pickup I can go to 12 o'clock or maybe 1 o'clock on channel 1 with the bass. But channel 2 and 3, the bass needs to be 10 o'clock or lower really. Any higher than that, it gets way too fuzzy and sludgy, which can be cool for some things, but not rhythm playing for me.
What kind of stuff do you guys wanna hear from the Satch JVM ??
The differences with the Satch version:
- No shit built in reverb. Noise gates instead. They're actually really good!
- Clean channel was inherited/inspired by the 6100 amp, and isn't the same clean channel as the regular JVM.
-...
If you're handy with a soldering iron, it isn't too difficult to hardwire the connections across the two PCB's. If it is the right cable I'm thinking of.
Ha!! I bought a 6505+ and a few hours later a ribbon cable self-deleted on me and I had to take it to my tech that very night! Amp sounds great though!
Yeah a mic. 57 on a V30 cab - the Egnater 4x12.
I didn't spend a ton of time on the video tbh, which is why I wanna do a proper video on the amp.
I've never shot it out against a proper JCM800, but the crunch channel can really slay. In person the amp is very aggressive, in a way that my...
yeah it is quite high. About 1 or 2 o'clock most likely, as that is what I like in the room. You've also got the additional proximity effect of the close mic on the cab.
Won't pretend my video is representative of all of the tones from it, or even the best tones. But I dig the amp a lot. It...
I love my Mark V a lot. It has become the main amp for me since I got it 4 months ago or so.
Remember - the channel EQ is pre distortion and the graphic EQ is post distortion. So on channel 2 and 3, dial the bass down as much as you can without losing bottom end. This will depend on your...
I will do a proper video of my JVM410HJS at some point, playing some post-metal. Personally, I think it is one of the best amps you can buy. Mine cost me £750, or £850. One of the two. Can't remember.
It doesn't really sound right. It sounds 'normal' as in, there's no weird frying bacon sounds or power tube drop outs or anything like that. But on channel 3 and 4 the overall tone is quite fuzzy, like there is too much low-end making it into the preamp distortion stages, something like that. It...
So interestingly, I just went to try this on my 2001 VH4, and it is already connected to the 4 ohm jack.
Right side white == 4ohm tap.
Right side green == 8ohm tap.
Right side brown == 16ohm tap.
Left side white == NFB wire.
I really don't like the glitchy/stuttery/juddering sound you can hear when turning the gain knob. That puts me right off the amp tbh.
I can't remember if it was confirmed or not, but the preamp always running through AD/DA stages even when not using any effects, if it indeed does, is not really...
Tell you what, I'm so fucking creamy over my Mark V and my 2018 MW Dual Recto, that I just can't imagine these turning out to be shit. They'll be amazing I'm sure. But also expensive, particularly in the UK, and I'm not sure I will need one, but I will want one coz sexxxyyyyyyyyyyy.
Hopefully it is okay to post this here:
I am loving my Axe FX III in 4-cable-method with my amps. Specifically I'm using a Mesa Boogie Mark V in the video, but I also have a 2018 Dual Rectifier that I love too. It obviously works great with my other amps too.
The only thing I would say is...
