Bump and another edit. Will still take a BM75-LD but since using my cab's stereo option I am more open to other speakers.
DV77 and Creamback 75 at the top of the list. Must be 16ohm.
Have a brand new, less than 3 hours 16ohm Chinese FS I could possibly use for trade bait.
Yikes. Do they still work?
I think most modern amps can handle running very briefly without a load, although that's never a good situation. I did it a couple of times myself. With an old amp it fried immediately.
One thing to keep in mind, sorry if this was mentioned and I missed it. The width of the vertical cab may not be enough for you.
This was a discussion on GGF forum and ultimately why I got a horizontal 2x12. My head is extremely large at 29" wide and the vert cab was like 23". Not trying to get...
Interesting. I wonder what that will do to the current KOT prices.
I just emailed them because I cant remember the exact date but I did sign up almost 4 years ago.
Pfft. I've been banned for less. Lol
I do agree with your post but doesnt affect me either way. I just assumed off topic section is where the riff raff belonged.
Maybe a bit mainstream but for me it would have to be sweet child of mine. Slash has to be one of my all time favorites and while November rain was epic, Sweet child was just super awesome to me and the most memorable.
A close runner up would have to be Youth Gone Wild. That (those) solos are...
Same. I mentioned that in another thread when I was asking about my cab Jack's. Especially if it's a 2x12 up top.
Who needs to spend $200 on a dirty tree? Just put a 2x12 in your face on top of something.
I'm more of a low mid kind of guy. But my ears are really old. I played in loud bands unprotected for a very long time and I'm certain my high frequency hearing loss has started.
Yeah essentially, using stereo mode let's you use one speaker at a time with one amp output.
OR you can use both speakers simultaneously by using two amp outputs (if your amp has 2) or two separate amps for that matter.
Either way I'm down to bring the Pitbull and Amarok over and catch up...
I know exactly what youre saying. It was the same exact thing with the 33. Jason made it sound incredible, I got one right away but then I was like wtf....later found out how his amp was dialed. To sound like a flub box.
It's just another tool at the end of the day and if you have a flubby amp...
Guess it could be a good studio tool.
I'm super old school man and I cant record/mix for shit. The tones I seek have always been for either for live shows, band practice or bedroom practice.
I'm not in an active band where I would be concerned with getting "my tone" translated to a recording...
Out of all the amps I've had or played. Some have been pretty high dollar...The VHT Pitbull and Monomyth origin have been my favorites. After selling everything I ended up going back to a Pitbull.
As far as listening to clips it's either on a sennheiser one headset or a Galaxy s8+ cell phone ...
Dont take it the wrong way or be offended and this shows how bad I would be at mixing. That tone sounds like shit. It is so shrill and hurts my ears. But I'll be damned if that doesn't sound exactly like the Black Album tone. I bet in a mix it would be near identical and sound amazing.
