Which pots for a standard Strat hotrodding?

What pickups are you using? If your staying SSS keep the 250k pots. If your going to HSS Id use a 500k volume. I usually get CTS pots, a Fender 5 way and switchcraft would work fine for the input jack. Only resistor I use is on the tone pots. Don't remember the value off the top of my head but a...

    Famous musicians you've met

That reminded me, also met Chuck Billy. He was roaming around the parking lot of a shit club in NJ they were playing. He hopped in our van and we smoked a joint with him. Super cool guy.

    Famous musicians you've met

Not super famous, except to guitar nerds but I took lessons from Greg Howe at his house for about 3 years back in the 90's. Got to know him a little bit. Super cool, low key guy. Saw him in the mall one day Xmas shopping and he came over and said hello.

Playing this dirty amp brought back childhood memories

I gigged a 60 watt for a few years. Played it almost cranked most nights, which wasn't all that loud. Never let me down.

So I went to the company Christmas party and was wondering ....

I do. I bring a Fractal Fm3, Headrush 108, 2 guitars, and a bag of cables. I also own the lights so I bring them too. 2 trips to the truck. We play 3-4 hours, about 35-45 songs. Like Rayneman above, I spent many years hauling 4x12's ,tube heads and pedal boards to my original band's gigs...

Elmwood M90, Anyone Know The History?

I had an M60 that had EL34's. Good sounding amp. A little hi fi sounding. It was nice but I didn't keep it long. Nearly impossible to remove the chassis without breaking the plexi front and the inside looked like a PC with the ribbon cables. I wondered who would ever service it if needed.

The last KISS show is tonight. Thoughts?

He wears a wig,so probably didn't even feel it. I grew up a huge fan, could care less now. Seen them probably 6 times starting in the 80's. I saw the early 2000 reunion with original members. They were all on point that night, so that was the highlight. Saw them a few times after that and it...

    New Boss IR-2

I was totally sold on this since I'm looking for a backup that I can throw in a gig bag, The clean amps sound good. I watched the Leon Todd demo, and the dirty amps sounded not so hot, and that guy makes everything sound good. But you could always add your own drive pedal. I would assume this is...

I hate pedals but yet I still watch every JHS episode.

I took my daughter to see metallica last night. They sounded amazing.

The sound is so much better these days. I remember back in the 80's/90's the sound was such shit, and so loud unless you knew the music it could be hard to make out. Also I remember when the band talked to the crowd you could not understand a word they said.
