Don Mock, Scott Henderson, Tommy Tedesco, Charlie Fector. Those were the biggest names running the show at G.I.T. in 1983 when I was there.
The school was upstair at the Hollywood Wax Museum on Hollywood Blvd. Every other teacher was a recognized well known master player with credentials...
There are some great videos of Chris shredding away on a Tom Anderson and a Boogie Mark 2C+. But I didn't know he was all about heavy rock before the yacht rock became him.
Here's a cool story - https://ultimateclassicrock.com/christopher-cross-ritchie-blackmore-deep-purple-show/

When I switched the pick-ups to humbuckers I also changed the 250k pots to 500k. Well, I used whatever old 500k pots I had laying around. After switching guitars while playing, I felt that the guitar didn't have the sparkle that my other guitars have. So I ordered the best pots I could find and...
I asked Joe about putting a Floyd Rose and full size pick-ups in my Knaggs and he referred me to Dave. Dave explained that I would literally ruin my guitar and that if I wanted to mod it, I should just sell it.
So, I changed out the useless, hissing single coil pick-ups for totally noiseless...
Dave is a super nice guy. I talked to him about my Knaggs last week and he was so helpful. He'll call you right after you contact him, he truly loves what he's doing.
So I was sweating everyday for a week waiting for my amp to come home in one piece from California to Connecticut UPS style  and it did.
Too bad for you! Man, I feel really bad but if you weren't bonded to it like I was with my amp, one bright side is that it will be replaced.
Mastodon would be as big as any band from the 60's 70's 80's 90's if the powers that be didn't kill the music money machine. Sooooooo many great songs and albums.
And to think I thought for sure that this was an old Zombie thread from the last decade.
Why the fuck are we talking about this fucker? Or, why would anyone listen to anything this pig has to say? His amps are dark fuzzy crap. They might record Okay but in the room compared to my other amps...

Ghey, fuck, I'll be banned the first goddamn minute! Nice knowing you all. I hate those GHEYBASTARDS! they think you should agree with them or ELSE. God mother fucking damn it.
I;\'ll go quietly and sit in the corner now. Turn your guitar down real low, better yet, put on...
This is from Mike - ***Note that the U S made blue caps are long gone, lucky we did replace the big main 1st section ones in '07, they're fine.
The 4 pcs. of 30 mf 500volt will need to be the Illinois Brand and they are from Taiwan. Been using many of this brand for years with good results...
No one here on RigTalk can name 5 Swift songs! Shit, I couldn't name one, or if I heard one on the radio, I wouldn't know it was her, I don't think I've ever even heard her sing.
Everyone here can name 5 Metallica songs! I could more than likely name 50 off the top of my head, and I've played...
Some day, some day I will have at least one more Knaggs. I gave mine a kiss today because I  it!
I paid what the guy was asking, $2,500.00, is that too much for a guitar? All my guitars are worth about that much. Expensive to me is $$,$$$+ Knaggs are not expensive IMO. I paid $5000.00...
The Hot Rail pick-ups are fantastic! Holy crap are they good. What a difference, totally quiet and totally ripping.
