I've been mostly with one amp the last two years. Laney GH50L, other have come in, but they all wind up leaving, while this thing stays.

That was the first time I heard a demo of one of those amps where I was really like "meh". There's a bunch where I think they sound great but not for me, but that one left me a little unimpressed.

75s are great speakers. They may not be your favourite, but anyone who can’t get a good sound with them, it’s user error.

Yeah I agree. I was listening to some clips I did when I had my Genesis 550, and it sounded very good with the stock pickups, and could cover a lot of ground.

I would say they are more utilitarian than blasting. Not great by any means, but also not terrible. I actually was thinking about grabbing one again specifically for that sound.

Yeah that sounds very uninspiring coming through a system like that. The great thing about IR systems is that you can really tweak a sound and make it great, even if the amp isn't that great. The bad thing is you can tweak a great amp into submission and make its "greatness" kind of mediocre.
