In general, no. Maybe I’m lucky, but I’ve been able to get great sounds out of a lot of different guitars, amps, cabs, over the years.
A lot of the "Charvel magic" is just hype. I say that, and the only guitar I own that isn't a parts mutt is a Charvel.

As a Canadian, I always request where possible things be shipped via USPS from the US for minimal taxes/duties when the item gets to me. UPS can eat shit with all their extra fees.

I just play guitar. If I'm sitting just fucking around, it probably is more in the realm of "lead", but if I'm jamming along with songs or playing with a band, you have to do the whole thing, not just noodle over the top.
