How, and how much, does the Snorkler differ from the Helios? They seem pretty similar, tone-wise.

For what it's worth, I thought the IR-X blew horse through an FRFR cab using the built-in cab sims. It was better through the power section of my Syn-50 head and a cab, but no better than the module.

A Synergy SYN-50 with a variety of modules. The AV75 sounds to me like a "perfected" Creamback H, with a punchier low end and smoother highs. Still plenty of midrange, but it's clear and grit-free.

You really should try the AV75. It has effectively ended my years-long speaker search.

The Kemper Power Head I owned had a "Disable IR to monitor out" setting that facilitated this. Not sure about the regular head or rack unit.

The AV75s are my new favorite speaker. They sound huge, rich, and clear, with none of the grit or fizz you get from a typical Celestion.

It probably is, tone-wise. But the Synergy solutions are decent when portability is part of the equation.

As someone who's been using various iterations of modular gear since 2008, I will note that the SYN-50 head is quite good for what it is, and better than the SYN-5050 power amp. I can only assume it's because the head uses decently sized, conventional transformers. It's also worth mentioning...
