Captor X with 16 Ohm cab

Hello @Piloti Yes you can run your 8 ohms amp into the Captor X 16 ohms. You will have to take some precautions. The speaker output of a tube amp is designed to be matched to one (or several) specific load(s). A 8 ohms speaker output is supposed to be connected to a 8 ohms speaker or loadbox...

    '62 Fender Bassman 4 Ohm + 16 Ohm Cabinet with 8 Ohm Captor X

Hello @Funkmonkey The attenuator is active on the Captor X 8 ohms when the Volume Level switch is on LOW or halfway position. The impedance shown to the amp in these 2 cases is the Captor X's, whatever the cabinet connected to the Speaker Out of the Captor X.

Captor X in series with Reload / Arcade Presets for the Audient Sono

Hello with the output level of the Captor X you can set the level exactly to what you need for Front Of House. You might have to use the IN LEVEL swith to dim the signal coming from your amp, but you can makeup for the level loss and get the right level for the outputs. You can import your...

Question about changing the room in Arcade Mode

Torpedo Captor X - which impedance to get?

Hello Sid With the information of your setup, the best choice is the Torpedo Captor X Ohms. As both your amps have an 8 ohms output and one of your cab is 8 Ohms too, it is the best choice. For the 16 Ohms cabinet, there is only one situation where you will have an impedance mismatch - when...

CAB M+ Power Amp Volume Issue + Difference to WoS?

Hello, 1. When coming very strong in the C.A.B M, the power amp is compressing the sound a bit, as a real amp would do (the sag effect). However, we would like to listen to your sound please? Can you submit a ticket on the Two notes helpdesk with audio samples of the behaviour you mention? This...

Torpedo CAB M, any MIDI workaround?

Hello we have not tested a setup which could inclued a device controlling the app, itself controlling the pedal. It might work, but when I asked the technical team about it, they were sceptical :D There still needs to be a maping of some kind to be done. For example when you press the button...

A few quickfire questions before I buy a reload.

Hello, yes the Torpedo Reload handles amps up to 150W. You can use the Reload just as a load box without a cabinet. For your Fender Super reverb, you will put the Reload on 4 ohms so as to have the tolerable impedance mismatch. You will need to be careful on the levels you play the Fender Super...

    Two Notes Capto x 16Ohms / 8 ohms AMP & 8 ohms Cab

If you have a 16 ohms output from your amp, use the 16 ohms output so you are matching the Captor X's impedance in 2 positions out of the 3 of the Volume Level switch.

Captor X output to audio interface's input (mic, line in or hi-z)?

Hello, indeed, you can use any of the inputs of the UR44. The Captor X outputs any level from nothing up to +15dBu. The only thing you need to make sure (apart from clipping your input) is to use balanced cables if you connect to the line inputs of the Yamaha. As you said, if the levels are too...

    Two Notes Capto x 16Ohms / 8 ohms AMP & 8 ohms Cab

Hello What is the brand and model of your amp, so I can see what outputs you have on your amp? Using a Captor X 16 with an 8 ohms amp and a 8 ohms cabinet, will lead to impedance mismatch depending on how the attenuator of the Captor X is used.: - VOLUME LEVEL on FULL position: the attenuator...

Reload Attenuator with NMV amp sound issues

Hello. What you describe seems to me like the power tubes adding the compression due to the high level you are playing your amp. It is a normal behaviour for a tube amp. This also leads to feedbacking from the Reload when you get to close to it with your guitar, if the Reload is close to the amp.
