Ah I see. I dig 50s wiring on a LP, makes it hit harder.
How do you like the sound of the orange drops?
I honestly am not a big fan of orange drops in my guitars but I see why people like them.
I have had several from here installed in my main guitar for several years with no performance issues and they are nice! I prefer the Atlantic custom ones I got recently. Mostly due to how insanely easy the toneshapers ones are to spin. Again, some may prefer that.
Funnily enough, I never used picks when playing bass until the last few years. Some tracks/sounds need it and boy can it really save my fingers!
It took me years to play guitar with a pick, as I played bass for several years before ever picking up a 6 string.
Kinda wish I never did use a...
I have one of those for re-amping and also using in my setup to eliminate ground hum if needed.
Does NOT color your signal, as many other products do.
Great choice.
Edit: I just realized I have the P-split ISO instead of the smaller one you have. Should still apply.
As the game mentioned - there are different levels/types of CTS pots. I have tried several variants. The Warmoth ones are cool overall but I dislike the open backs on them.
I grabbed several sets from Atlantic Custom Guitars, and they feel and look to be super top notch.
Some of my favorite...
Honestly, if I could only pick one speaker, period, I think it would be the AV75.
Mixing....the 75 doesn't really need more or less of much I'd say, if anything at all. Unsure if mixing is really needed. I ran a mixed can for years but the AV75s alone are so good I never like them as much mixed.
I need to do a bit more testing on my little Marshall and get back to you.
The AV75s have a lot of bass and treble on tap so it does have top end as well. The midrange is present but very 'clear'. I can't think of any other way to describe it.
Again, let me do some testing with my Marshall...
Classical and Flamenco are their own thing.
I do not mix them with standard acoustic guitars, as they have very different purposes.
Unless you are playing that style of music (which I have done for years) - go with a standard acoustic.
You don't want to be that guy who says they play...
