Hey, if you end up wanting any of those caps, I honestly have the last ones available in the .015 range and they are the last that will ever be produced according to Mojo Tone.
Just PM if you are interested in any.
I'll be listing them on Reverb soon for what sweetwater used to sell them for...
I would note that there is a 20% off sale currently, so you can definitely get some good prices.
You need a 50mm for your bridge size.
Also, don't be afraid to reach out and ask them about the sets.
Their 50s sets, whether it is the P90s or humbuckers, are definitely vintage sounding...
What's wild to me is how intensely metal a lot of my music and playing is. I make fuzzes do strange things.... I can see why majority of folks do not dig them but damn it man....they are missing out.
I am getting a set of Blues Heritage pickups in soon from Planet Tone for my LP. Will report back how they perform. A buddy grabbed a set of their 57s and they sounded exactly as described and what I would expect a 50s PAF to sound like.
My fuzz god has the fuzz+octavia thing. A Griffin Analog one would be killer. I use mine to make my guitar sound all synthy and play what I call "video game music".
I tested my rig with and without the buffer pedal in the chain and prefer it without.
I tried it in several positions.
I can always do my 'secondary mode' buffer trick on a couple of other pedals if I feel the need for one to be pushing the signal/top end.
Off of the main board the G-2 goes...
Update to the update:
The G-2 pedal DOES in fact have a buffer in it. @psychodave this is probably why the chain does not like a buffer engaged....there already is one!
I am going to test my sound with and without the buffer to see which I prefer.
Everything is a learning process....but...
UPDATE:
Ends up, the culprit was my Griffin Analog G-2 (Cornish). This has me wondering if this has a buffer in it or if it is the relay/bypass system. Not of his own design, so i will check out the circuit specs and all that to try to see. Interesting....so I MAY already have a buffer in the...
This thread point is being lost a bit - this is not about any tone loss whatsoever when using true bypass pedals, it is that one pedal in my chain is not behaving like a true bypass when power is cut to the device(s).
I have zero need for a buffer with my current setup. I can actiavate the end...
I had no idea I would walk away from that video being so happy with the way my little Marshall Lead 12 head sounds.
Idk what that is supposed to say about anything, but I am able to get that little thing slamming.
I know the little lead 12 is like a JCM800 feel/sound but something about this...
