I haven't been around in about a week due to the fact I've just moved to London, and don't have internet access in my house yet, but anyway, hello. Currently using someone else's internet (I think) so all is well right now...
If anyone's interested I'm still looking at moving the UV for...

I'm not the biggest fan of these guys, but they have sweet rigs. Thought you might fancy a look, and by the way, it's probably less of a demo, more of a tour. Even so, some nice gear within.
I'm finally gonna buy some recording gear and start making some clips. So, recommend me a mic pre. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the standard ole' SM57 as the mic, but what preamp do I require? And how do I go about this? Are the preamps USB or what? And what recording program should I be...
I'm looking into the BB Preamp or Fulltone Full Drive 2. They're both about the same price, the BB Preamp £10 more, but that's not the issue. I'm looking for the best match with the Mark IV. Something to Rhy1, for a mild OD on Rhy1, and perhaps to boost the Lead, if I'm lowering the gain for...
If so, what with, and what did you find?
I'm looking into boost pedals, for more flavours of tone, basically. Preferably true bypass, so I'm probably looking at something boo-teek, no?
Initial impressions only as I've had less than an hour with it but...
Cleans are not as bad as I've heard people say, at all. Infact, quite the opposite, they're real nice. Blue channel is where I believe the rhythm tone will lie. Very big sounding channel, with a lot of thump. Red channel is...
I just can't seem to jive with it anymore, or get any good tones from it. I made a new clip earlier, and I'm just not getting anything close to what I want. Can anybody give me some tips and guide me in the right direction of dialling this thing in?

I have in my IV...
V1: Tung Sol Reissue
V2: JJ High Gain
V3: Chinese 9th Gen
V4: Chinese 9th Gen
V5: Chinese 9th Gen
Now, I'm always looking for more thickness, and I love dark tones. I see some people have found the JJ harsh. I've never come across this personally, but I'm always interested...
Are you still using them?
I got some of these a few weeks ago, and after much indecisiveness, I've found their rounder attack and slightly thicker tone more appealing, plus they feel a bit stiffer. I found the stiffness "clunky" at first but now I'm finding it to yield the differences in tone...
I've been offered a great price on one. Infact, it's the one that's been floating around here I think - the one in the Recto headshell? Anyway, tell me all the good and bad about a Stiletto before I go up to Mark's studio and try it out
I know these have been posted before, but just check this shit out.

Just tell me, in simple terms, why one would buy the Axess over the much cheaper Ground Control Pro? I'm curious - what functions does the Axess offer over the GCP? I'm pretty lazy and on my way out, so I expect you guys to tell me rather than me do the research
