When Mike B. upgrades an OG, you get the option of straight ++ or switchable +/++. IMO if they would have built the RI with switchable +/++ as well as a pentode / triode switch, which are both legit Mike B mods, it would have sold much better.

Yes darker, yes more gain, and yes more liquid. However, it can't exactly be recreated with a boost because a boost also tightens things up.

I thought it was pretty good at doing the one thing, probably a little better at that one thing than the Empress ParaEQ although the Empress has a lot more latitude. At the end of the day though I've sold them both as IMO they're a little more processed sounding than I'd like.
