According to Gibson (currenty), the 57 & 68 RIs use a nylon nut and the "regular" custom uses Corian. Side note, the Moderns & Supremes are using Graph Tech nuts.

This is like the guys that say the IIC+ and the III are the same. On a recording? Maybe-ish. In the room at volume? No way. Regardless of what you think is better or worse, it's different. Example- IMO while I do prefer the C+ recorded, I much prefer a III+ (or a IIB+ or a IV) in the band...

I also recall Mike telling me that he only did the red channel when he C modded my G Triple. (which I highly regretted) Also, the clean channel got NUKED.
