The SLO works for death-metal !!! At least it worked well enough for me (and still works although I play less death-metal than before) . Pinch harmonics galore, Chuck Shuldiner style, if that's your thing (I'm also a Zakk fan to tell the truth).

Yeah but you can implement it so that the pedal is in bypass when the relay is not powered so in fact it works just like a physical true bypass with a mechanical switch (the relay being a powered mechanical switch anyway).
I like the tone, I like the feel under the fingers, the attack, the bounce, I like the headroom, how it cleans up with the volume knob, the way it doesn't fall apart when you turn it up, the voicing with a Les Paul etc. It works for everything. I use it for all styles of music. I played with one...
Yes ! The only problem is it's too short... I'd like more of it !! I was 17 when it came out. It totally changed my outlook on electric guitar and music in general.
