Came here to mention Bogners and also thumbs up on the VH4 (and even more so Hagen) comment.
Have ya tried a Knucklehead?? Just for shits 'n giggles, check 'em out.
Me neither, but I wanted them oldschool brass barrels with all their inherent intonation issues and all - bring on the ashtray twang!!!
Precisely why I couldn't fathom any of the pricing that FMIC was throwing my way for what it was I was looking for. Couple planks of decent lumber (firewood...
Ya, telecasters... Got a couple customs made as I couldn't understand FMIC's pricing for what I was asking. Not a bolt-on guitar style guy but needed some tele-tones for a couple projects I've been working on. These are built beautifully - I spec'd the wood - the pups - necks - electronics -...
I love thetubestore.com
Oh, and those markings are fairly common regardless of newness. I wouldn't stress it - but - if in doubt for future purchases, definitely hit thestubestore.com up as Jon and Crew there have been servicing my tube needs for like 15+ years now. Awesome dudes. Awesome...
U2's The Edge and his Strat would be up there (Edit: or was it his Explorer??, hell if I know, but they're a massive band and had No.1 songs in every country around the globe more than once...huge, staying power, radio friendly)
Cool thread.
Ever think of trying the RY ??
They were my Les Paul "epiphany" pickups (and are still installed on my top players). But super stoked you love the Aldrich so much - no need to change if everything you want is now happening.
I've gone through several Diezels. My keepers are the VH4, Hagen and D-Moll. They all offer something a little different than the other, and all sound amazing when I opt to choose one over the other for feel or tonal characteristics. D-Moll is a tremendous amp, just gotta dial it in to get...
Yaaaaaaaaaaaa, can't speak on the MkIII but it does pique my curiosity. That said, I'm a Hagen fan and those seem to be a particular niche unto themselves, so... Like I said, really hard for us to tell you what's right for your ears. They're all amazing amps.
Man, personal preference is so hard to offer opinion on.
I've tried all but the MkIII Herbert and the VHX. I never gelled with the earlier Herbert.
I own a couple VH4 (differing model years), Hagen, D-Moll. I fkn love the VH4 and Hagen.
If I had to get just ONE Diezel, it'd be the same...
