Halestorm was a positive surprise! Lzzy really worked hard to get the audience going and I think the audience liked them. Some nice custom Gibsons she and her solo guitarist had. 👌
...and what an incredible concert it was! 🤘There were ~75.000 ppl in attendance. The new drummer played very well and I think I've never seen Iron Maiden live with a huge drum sound like this. The band seemed to have something to prove and they played very well. The new stage production looks...
There is an additional thing regarding Gibsons and Tune-O-Matics/Stop Tailpieces: seems like all my Gibsons have a different sweet spot for the tailpiece height where the guitar comes alive. ☺️
Not really needing a pic but a Dunlop JP95 wah, Dunlop GCB80 vol pedal, Dunlop GCB80 modded to work as an expression pedal, YJM sig OD (DOD, Fender or MXR), Klon KTR/Xotic BB pre, TCE 2290p, Boss NS-2. Most of the time it is a quad cortex these days.
As always with Gibsons; Try before You buy. I’ve seen so many shit quality Gibsons and returned a few due to poor finishing after buying them unseen and I won’t do it anymore. When finding a good Gibson, buy it immediately, they’re magical.
I would try to talk the price down a bit; generally my thinking is that a third comes always off from a new price on used gear. The used gear asking prices are still at covid levels when one could not get new stuff from the factories.
Once You find a well built Gibson with nice sounding woods they are incredible. They just have shitty quality control due to which I returned two 80s Explorers half a year ago.
