Yeah I would have mentioned Spalwn but the OP specifically mentioned Marshall but just about any Splawn is cheaper than most Reissue or used Marshall 2203 or 2204's.
JBT if you want some versatility ie: channel switching/clean channel in the Marshall line then he is going to have to look at...
Nope........ my last New old amp is my 84 Marshall JCM800 2204 Cameron HG LG Jose that I finished building a few months ago. It loves 12H-30's that's for sure.....:2thumbsup:
I've been tweaking it trying some different values and brands of components tweaking it more towards the CCV values...
Marshall DSL as long as it doesn't have the bias drift/PC board issue, it hard to know which ones would have the issue. Other than that the Ceriatone stuff is usually a pretty solid amp, the ones I see by me are JCM800 2204/2203's, Chupacabra's, Yeti's up for anywhere from $800-$1500 depending...
After you add up all the items to slave with a power amp you probably are just better off getting am ISP powered sub which just does the low end thing well and you won't have to keep trying different speakers.
Extend your guitar rig's low end with the ISP Technologies Vector 210 powered...
Great idea........................:2thumbsup:
Maybe a 2x12 with a Redback and V30 or whatever you like, maybe a redback, EVM12L or a Celestion Creamback H75 being driven by the slaved power amp that has a resonance/depth mod like the old Peavey 50/50's and 120/120's, a used Matrix GT1000FX or...
Totally solid logic and advice there. I think it's difficult to encompass all things in just one cabinet.
I remember those sub cabinets that I think ISP sold so a while.
There was a guy that used to post on here Submancometh......????? He had some chuggy shit on his channel...I can't find his...
Ralle tried everything including cascades but his original two gain stage specs were the best and even he went back to them, I looked through my saved layouts for his original specs and I don't have it, just his cascaded versions.
If I remember correctly his original Ralle specs were pretty...
I was playing my HG Jose amp through my 75Hz and 55Hz Celestion Heritage 12H-30 speakers 4x12 cabinets the other day and the 55Hz definitely cabinet had more low end response than my 75Hz and was a bit darker but not muddy by any means compared to the 75Hz 4x12 cabinet. The cabinet with the...
So what was your username on the Metro amp forum? It's always good to see anyone OG from the EVH forum from back in the day. :2thumbsup::rock: I still talk to BMF5150 and RGalpin from time to time....those were fun times with everyone trying all the urban legends outand posting their results. I...
The SAT switch should be easy enough to install but you will have to drill the chassis for a switch. An On Off On three way switch is what I use. This will give you 3 selections Off and two different clipping values. The higher the voltage threshold of the zener still clips but with less...
All excellent news Mr War!:2thumbsup: CONGRATS on a dealy deal!
I haven't heard a Bogner 4x12 cabinet that didn't sound great! I've been tempted a few times when a local one would come up by me.
Well that totally sucks, hopefully he will take them back and fix the issue on his dime. That's only fair.....
I checked his site and it seems that they are aware of the issue,
