How do you like your Skervesens? I tried to order a custom build but they were so difficult to even get the order in that I gave up and went with Mayones.
It's going to be a balance between supply/demand... as always. If buyers are refusing to pay and sellers are refusing to lower their prices, one of the two will have to give eventually. I'm ok hanging onto my gear if it doesn't sell at the prices I'm willing to let it go for.
I was the only...
It's tough out there for a seller at the moment. I struggle to decide whether to list a guitar at a good selling price so it moves, knowing buyers will just haggle it down even more, OR... list the guitar for what I think it's actually worth in the market. For example, I have an expensive...
Great question. It is absolutely something I consider. The low E on a guitar is 82Hz. If you cut too much bass in certain parts of the circuit, you can eat into that fundamental and harmonics of it. If someone down-tunes, I want to make sure the amp 1) amplifies frequencies conducive to low D...
Mostly done! Just doing some voicing changes here and there for myself because I lean more toward angrier tunes haha. Trying to decide on depth cap and treble cap values. Then I might play around with different voltages and filtering. But she's sounding mean! Quite tight and thumpy with the new...
If that worked, I wouldn't be asking what I'm asking in this thread. The popular regulators that everybody uses don't regulate tight enough. Furman's P-1800 AR regulates +/- 5v. Black Lion apparently regulates tighter at +/- 2v. If you use a variac after the regulator, like the Furman, that...
Just wish they didn't cost so much lol. I'll do some digging to see what I can find. There are affordable auto-regulators on eBay for a few hundred. But they're basically variacs controlled by a mechanical servo. They take a bit more work to get running properly and they're quite old. Something...
So with these, you can set a specific, target output voltage and it will regulate whatever's coming in to that, +/- some variance?
The problem I have with my Furman 1800 AR is that it's actually just a glorified surge protector. It's advertised as a voltage regulator. But it only regulates...
Very cool! Plate-fed stack with switchable stages. The Super Trems make really cool platforms. Plenty of board space. And with all the extra holes some of the North American models had (12 available for mods), I'm really surprised someone needed to drill 12 more holes omgggggg. Who needed 24...
Right?! I thought the same thing. It took a lot of effort to do it the wrong way. It was 100% to hide the fact that it had been done. Shady seller.
Sonic Craft and Parts Connexion sell 'em :2thumbsup:
Made in the USA! Check 'em out: https://www.prpinc.com/
Their 1/2-watt version is still rated for 500v, which is great. I like 'em because they're small, with relatively thin leads, so I can fit multiple components on one turret without too many issues.
