    Mark VII vs IV

Currently, I own both of the amps and I feel having them both has checked off a lot of boxes for me. I had compared them several times and I feel the Mark VII will be the one that I end up keeping out of the two amps (for the extra amp channel modes on the VII). The IV on the VII sounds pretty...

Fryette Power Station or Fryette Reactive Load IR

Another thing I found I like about using the PS-100 is not having anything in the effects loop of the amps (and effects loop turned off). I found the amp tone will usually sound a lot better and I just use the effects loop on the PS-100.

Fryette Power Station or Fryette Reactive Load IR

The PS-100 has saved me a ton of money and costed me a ton of money since I started to purchase more amps due to being able to get that sweet spot of a cranked amp through the PS-100. I am not able to crank amps at my place so pretty much any amp I own started to sound like the tone was being...

Mesa Mark V 25 - anyone tried one?

I had received one in a trade with the intention of most likely selling it. I had compared it to the Mark V 90 Watt version and I felt the 90 Watt version sounded much better/fuller to me. I thought the amp sounded pretty good overall but I felt limited with just two channels (I prefer 3-4...

Rev G Dual Rectifier + Legendary Tones Mod = Stupidly Good

I had noticed the noise/hiss had increased once he installed the device and then he started to talk extremely loud to be heard over all the extra noise/hiss :) Pretty cool video and device so if I ever purchase one then I think I would experiment with different gain settings on the amp, device...

    Help with thin sounding guitar

One thing you could try for a thicker tone (and probably the cheapest and quickest option) would be to change your strings to a thicker gauge (at least for the lower gauge strings). I had recently changed my strings on my favorite guitar and I didn't play on it right away since I was busy...

    My First Fractal Product

I am always going to keep an FX8 around since there is always something cool you can get out of the unit and the effects are stellar!! Plus there is no tone suck unlike other devices out there. I recently tested the tone suck by going straight into the FX8 (no effects in the FX8 internal...

What made the MILLS 4x12 so loved and hated?

I had purchased two of the Mills 4x12's near the end of him making them (without going into the details I was lucky that I had finally received them). I wanted to return them since they weighed much more than I was expecting with the EVM 12L BL and the cabs were too wide to lift by myself after...

JJ EL34 Power Tubes with the Number 26 on top then 4.6 on bottom ....

Here is a picture of one pair of the boxes (the tubes have nothing on them that make them look different than stock pictures of JJ EL34 power tubes): And I believe I did get them as a matched quad but I'm not 100% positive. Also, the "4.6" might have been a range the company selling them...

    Cool guitar shops in L.A.

You should mention what type of guitars you like playing or the type you have an interest in checking out as well since someone on here might know specific shops that carry them in the LA area. Also, check the "used" inventory for some of the local and surrounding GC's and Sam Ash's since you...

JJ EL34 Power Tubes with the Number 26 on top then 4.6 on bottom ....

I had purchased a quad of JJ EL34 power tubes several years ago and I don't remember where I purchased them and if I had purchased them for a specific amp so I thought I should ask some questions here. Each of the boxes have a yellow sticker with the numbers 26 on top part and 4.6 on bottom...

FS-Mesa Boogie Roadster. NW Indiana/ Chicago

Yeah, I had recently purchased the 2x12 version and it sounds killer!! I just bypass the 2x12 and hook up my 4x12 and it sounds pretty impressive with all the tonal options :)

Mesa Mark VII -Not for sale

I have really enjoyed all of the videos you have been making with it (they have been my Go-To videos for the MKVII) and there are definitely some killer tones and songs to be had with that amp so I hope you will keep it and provide us with some more of them :) Plus we all have those moments...

Axe fx 3 tones!!! This thing is insane!

Yeah, and waiting months/years for a mod to be done where you can just tweak something on the AXE FX to get you the same thing/tone.

Axe fx 3 tones!!! This thing is insane!

One of the things that I appreciate most about the AXE FX devices (and I still own every Fractal device that has ever been made by them), they allow you to play for long hours without any wear and tear on the actual amps you love and most likely paid a grip of money for them. No repair costs or...

    Dave Murray now using Fractal

I had spoken to Chris Broderick at NAMM about them using AXE FX's and he said they were using in-ear-monitoring with them. It didn't sound like they had them going through any tube amps or power amps. It would have been interesting to hear what it sounded like in the mix and live.

Maybe i need a modeler and SS power amp?

I play a varied range of styles/genres and I regularly tune my guitars to E, Drop D, D, and Drop C, so I found that I did like having both pedals to switch between each style/genre and tunings. I don't feel one pedal is really better than the other. I had sold my Artemis to fund getting a...
