What are some sig. gear that have done REALLY well sales wise ?
it can be GOOD signature gear, as well as POS signature gear, as long as it's been a hit?
I was discussing this with a friend today.
the Eric Johnson Strat has been a hit
Almos anything EVH
Kirk Hammett ESPs
what else?
I like what they did with it....looks modern but still killer.
This is a youtube guy that bought it and put on the new EMG hetfield pup set through a Mark III..... sounds KILLER.

he was this forumite from HCAF and a KILLER guitarist...... he had a band names Scenery Channel, I bought a their album a long time ago and man I was listening to it today at the gym..... fuck man what a GREAT BAND.....they play progressive hard rock/metal.
I wonder what's of him and his...
there are bands where the rythm guitarist or second guitarist, or even the singer who occasionally plays guitar, owns the lead guitarist......be it feel, or creativity, or sometimes (although rare) technicality.
IMO here are some bands that fit, I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinions too...
...which one would it be?
Here's the scenario, you're a well known musician and you're gonna be known by playing one amp and one guitar (Hetfield's Explorers and Mark IVs, Hendrix JTM45 and Strats, and so on)
what would your signature guitar and amp AS OF TODAY would be?
in my case:
Simple...
Who's been the most influential musician/player/guitarist in your life?
I owe everything to Billie joe Armstrong from Green Day. After listening to that band in 94 I just HAD to get a guitar......if it wasn't for that band/man I wouldn't be here today as a musician.
This album was IT for...
....I'm a hair away from buying a guitar on impulse........... the thing is I CAN'T! right now money is VERY tight and I can't.........
any impulse purchases stories of late?
wow, I've learned a lot about micing amps and getting things to sound "OK" some of these are acceptable some are just  some are cool I guess.....

well, there are tons of Marshall like amps out there....some feel more true than others, and of course it's debatable that almost all hi gainers owe something to marshall (or Fender Bassman in that matter).
I haven't played most of the hi gainers out there so I'm a little bit in the dark. What...
I've noticed that I spend equal amount of time using all 6 strings, and I use most of the neck but I need to start using the upper frets more (17th fret upwards), as well as the EBG strings at the first 2 frets.
do you use the whole neck and all the strings regularly?
regarding moving to where the "action" is music wise (which I agree 100%) which place would you choose
-L.A.
-N.Y.C.
-Nashville
and why?
maybe based on the type of music? opportunities?
I'm looking into some cheap great sounding pedals....... you know not more than 70bucks or so.....
could be Delays, Chorus, Reverbs, Fuzz, OD, etc etc etc..... no limitations....just based on your own experienced....
I have a cheap Danelectro CoolcAt Transparent Overdrive that I really like...
...what would it be?
imagine you get a call from, whatever, fender, gibson, suhr, etc etc..doesn't matter
what would it be like?
for me ideally Fender would call, since I'm a fender guy all the way....if it ain't fender then I'd get the company to make me a fender bodied guitar, 3 single...
I was watching a few pics of some guitars I sold in the past and I really REALLY regret I got rid of my Epiphone Lucille......the guitar only needed a NICE setup and some new pickups........ I took it to a tech that didn't do much to make it play better so I though it was because of it being a...
what would be something you wouldn't CARE about the price and just GET IT?
I honestly don't care for REALLY vintage guitars.....I guess I wouldn't pay 250grand for a Les Paul '59. I could see myself getting very vintage and expensive amps though........
wow, this is great..... they played a Schmidt at the beginning of the clip up to the 8:00 mark, and then after the CAA they play the VH4.....the last song around the 21:00 sounds FREAKING GREAT! I think that's the schmidt, Vh4 and CAA together
