I just picked up the Shin Ei Vibe 2. Was looking at the Funky Vibe also. The Shin Ei was brand new and in stock so I went with that. That Funky Vibe sounds great as well!!

I've used G12H with the Alnico Cream and also the EVH with the creams as well. The Creams were the more dominant sound, but the others filled in what the Cream kind of lacked. Both of those speakers with the Creams sounded really good with the Alnicos. The G12s especially.

This is one of my all time favorite 80's clean tones. When you dial "that" sound in, in stereo,then kick in some delay, it just kind of makes you get lost for a while. Yes, I know its dated to the 80's but that doesnt make it any less huge in the room. Its a sound that was used by so many guys...

Compressor for sure. Tri,Terc or even a 1210 blended with the SPX 90 pitch. Add 2 PCM 42s and there you have the original Landau setup.

Ok, what is it EXACTLY you dont like about the first mix? Drum Sound? Guitar sound? Overall mix? Have you tried running the overall mix thru a compressor? What kind of compressor? What type of monitoring? Phones, speakers..both? What type of mix are you going for? You have to be specific in...

I owned the 400 for years and was going to switch to the 500. Played one for a weekend and decided to keep the 400. This was paired with a Quad pre for reference.

there are amps out there that not one resistor has been changed..etc that do sound good, still with the 2 prong cord attached. Whatever Marshall used in that particular amp on that particular day that has not been changed or altered. Those to me are "Bone Stock" amps. Those are the Marshalls...
