I only knew of a handful of companies doing ir's, so the suggestions are appreciated.

I mainly play through bias fx and have tried a few ir's including york audio, 3 sigma, and ownhammer. Was wondering what you guys were using and if there were certain ones that might be worth checking out.

There is the RG350 and 450, but neither are going to have the same specs because they are lower end. Only other one I can think of is the RG2550, but it is a higher end model.

I've got the Korg, D'Addario, and the Peterson. I second what most others have said and would go with the Peterson. To me, it is the most accurate.

Have you ever listened to who SRV idol was? It was Hendrix. If you ask most rock guitarists who their influence was, I'm willing to bet EVH's name is going to come up. For someone who thinks that they are such sloppy players, they sure have influenced a lot of great guitarists.

Totally disagree with your statement. Eddie's playing was raw and pure talent. He didn't care about reading music, learning every scale, etc. Vai and Satriani may be more technical players but neither can hold a candle to the volume of work Eddie has done and his popularity. I think they are overpriced for what you are getting. Here is a review of the american series sl3 and virtuoso, and both have spring noise coming through. Not a big deal, but you would think for a 2k plus guitar, quality control would be better.

They had it listed as great condition. They relisted it in fair condition, but kept the same price. I laughed when I took it back cause the GC employee doing the return told me they probably sent me a floor model, thats why it was damaged.

Does it effect the sound? I know they take a lot of wood out to install them.
