I have a couple guitars with EMG’s and don’t notice too much difference in volume, but I always run through a buffer first, then an EQ then OD, so that probably brings everything up as I’m boosting each guitar.

The Winspear picks I use seem to never dull. I can’t say I have ever remember throwing any out in the 10 years or so I’ve used them. Edit: I have not used the se pick for 10 years, I’ll pick up a different one from time to time, but I have used the same main pick the last couple years.
