    BKP Polymath

Sounds killer. I was a bit turned off by the lower output specs so wasn’t too interested. Do they feel like low output?

    What About Theme Songs?

So many. Just sticking with TV show themes as movies is a whole other ball of wax. These themes I still tap my feet or fingers and jiggle around in my head all the time. Green Acres The Love Boat Swat had a badass theme Laverne & Shirley Baretta and so many others had cool tunes

    Deciding on pickups is tough

I love changing out pickups and trying things out. I mean I enjoy the act of jamming some music or listening to YouTube guitar talk, sipping a bourbon and swapping out pickups or just working on a guitar. I have drawers full of pickups and I do it often. One thing I’ve found though, I don’t...

No, my number works fine here. Text and phone calls works fine. Here is the text I got from TMobile once the plane landed: T-Mobile: Welcome to Japan! Your plan includes coverage that gives you 5GB/mo. of high-speed data On Us, plus unlimited texts at no extra cost. Calls are at $0.25/min...

    Giacomo Turra Scandal

I’ve never seen his videos until all this popped up. But any video that sounds produced and perfect I’ve always assumed was mimicking the actual recording, like a music video of the past. But seeing someone pretending to be playing what you’re hearing and passing it off as live and clearly is a...

Yes, true the city named Tea (Ochano) and Water (Mizu) combined. Guitar street is just the nick name because of all the guitar shops on the block

Yes absolutely. English is taught here and most can speak a little English. With the yen rate it makes things cheaper for tourists too. There is an app that helps you get around on the train system that makes it very easy. It’s worth a trip and you’ll have fun.

    Guitar Street Japan

Just a little, not very much. My wife is Japanese and we’ve been together since 1992. I can listen and understand the jest of the conversation for the most part but hard to come up with the words when speaking.

    Guitar Street Japan

Yep, what was strange is how much cheaper I got it in Japan than I could have in Maryland. I wasn’t even thinking PRS or any US guitar at all. I had scoped out several Ibanez, T’s Guitars, ESP and a few others online that I was looking for. I was only planning to buy something I couldn’t get in...

    Guitar Street Japan

What a great day. Walked through all the stores, settled on about 5 that caught my eye, narrowed down to 2 that tugged my heart. Walked down the road and drink a bunch of beer…checked out some Anime for my son in Akihabara….drank some more. Then said 2 tears in a bucket, fuckit. And got the one...

    Guitar Street Japan

On my way to Guitar Street (Ochanomizu) today. 2nd year in a row. Last year I picked up an incredible deal on a brand new Ibanez Pia. It’s my 1 free day away from the wife and family on this Japan visit. I’m hitting Guitar Stores, sushi and then getting drunk somewhere…should be a helluva good day.

Do any of you guys still do this for rhythm tones???

Yes, a subtle micropitch and a subtle chorus. Always on. I will say that recently (about last 2 months) I’ve gone without the chorus and just used the micropitch.
