Once you get the workflow, they're all pretty easy these days...I use an FM3.
You mentioned cheap, portable and feels like an amp...for Marshall-y tones, all the atomic modelers sound and feel fantastic. Their ui is a little limited and they don't really get updated, but they're a cheap way to...
Honestly, this is the main reason my band now prefers modelers and IEMS for gigs...at least it's consistent in our ears, the sound guy can worry about the rest.
With my cover band, i switched to a modeler about 3 years ago and then we all went iem last year...I’ll never go back to amps for gigs. Sounds great, convenient and consistent.
I’m using an Fm3 and ps170 mounted on a pedal train; split the signal to FOH and a 2x12 for a little stage volume for...
Awesome, glad it worked out, Im using mine with a Fm3 modeling rig, so its pretty simple to eq them to taste.
Mine are mounted in a port city 2x12os...shockingly light for its size.
I've had various areas in my gigging guitars through the years...they really do sound great.
For a superstrat with a bridge humbucker, the Heavy Blues 2 has become my fav neck single coil. It's got a little more girth that balances well with the bridge p/u. Cleans are a little hot compared...
What about a 78?
I had a ssv+ in a suhr alder classic antique and hated it...plink plink plink. The above clips sound great though so you never know.
This thread also reminds me that the V60lp is one if my fav neck single coils, I need a new strat for one lol.
I use those saddles and think they do help tuning, but don't tighten them down too far.
Also I need a couple replacement screws and they're not the easiest thing to find locally (at least for me)...they're 3x5mm flanged button heads.
I have the MXR version as well, sounds great.
Although I’ve realized I need to upgrade to a full size version, those little knobs are a pain in the ass lol.
I have the ash version, amazing guitar.
My only complaint is the delicate finish...it‘s my main gigging guitar and I’ve already rubbed through to raw wood in several spots.
