I'm deeply entrenched in the Tom Anderson builds but I have been following Curt and his Chubtone guitars for a few years now. High-quality, beautiful instruments that are closer to the Charvel custom shop builds without the long waits. If I was looking for a superstrat and wanted more of a...
I agree. I love Eddie. Always have and always will but I felt that as VH went on his leads became retreads of the older stuff or just stuck to his iconic licks. His rhythm is always what kept me listening. I sound and play nothing like him but he really got me to hone in on my rhythm playing.
I have been using Fractal for a few years now and really liked it. I recently sold my FM9 to try building a small pedalboard fly rig for a second band I am joining. Again, just looking to try something new. It is a corporate/wedding type of band and they require IEMs (which I have) and a small...
I am looking to add a pitch shift to my pedalboard. I bring two to three guitars to gigs, but I thought it might be nice to add this effect if some stages are too small for multiple guitars. I am only looking to go down a half step to a full step. I know most people discuss the Digitech Drop...
I swear, back in the day I bought replacement tubes for my Electradyne direct from Mesa Boogie. I am not sure if they still do that being under Gibson now.
I was going to say Chuck Billy as well. He is a pretty amazing metal vocalist. Their early material to the change in the early to mid-90s is pretty. The Gathering is one of my favorite metal albums ever.
He may not be super heavy metal but I have always liked John Corabi's vocals for heavy...
That's cool! I didn't know they layered Deizel in there as well.
OP...Lamb of God used Mark series amps on earlier albums as well. I believe they used IVs and Vs on many recordings although they did try some others like the Royal Atlantic and the Triple Crowns.
Great mix! Dave is blitzed here just like the US Festival show. That still picture at the beginning of the video was the first VH poster I bought way back when I was about 12 years old.
I have really been enjoying Bleed From Within's tones in the past few releases for a modern metal sound. From everything I have seen on YouTube, the band uses the Quad Cortex in recording and live. I can't remember the exact amp rig they captured but it sounds great in their mix.
