Blasting Cap overdriver based on a VFE Focus/Standout but instead of a mix control have a mid-boost like an MXR custom badass.
So it would have a super strong level, the hpf and lpf, and then the mid-boost on a button or toggle.

MW should be abundant on the used market for a long time. I'm not sure which era or version has sold the most, but the MW is the longest running era and has probably been revised or altered by far the least of any era.

Theoretically wouldn't you move the mic back about the same distance as the thickness of the front baffle when recording the front-mount speaker?
Otherwise the mic will always be closer to the speaker on front-mounts, hence the whole "punchier/brighter" descriptions that people often claim.
