You can easily hear the studio compression on the intro to this tune. Makes it pop. I’m sure the tone from the amp was great though. Can’t polish a turd.
Agreed 100% MM. guys on both sides of this and other polarizing subjects have got to learn to just let people speak and feel as they feel.
Trying to shut down another member because you disagree is just rediculous.
Everyone has a sob story. Getting a divorce….. just had surgery…… lost my job……just had Covid….
Suck it up and deal with it like a man and stop crying.
We all have a story to tell. Most people don’t give a shit about it.
I LOVE Big Wreck. Ian is a great player.
Actually saw them open for Viscous Rumours when they were a new band around 93 maybe? They blew me away. I always associate his tone with the Prescription Electronics Experience pedal. He uses that a lot. Great sound.
That’s exactly my experience with the amp. Very round sound, which I love for lead playing, but not great for rhythm.
If you were doing Allman Brothers tunes it would be good.
Yeah, I’d have to agree. I had a Bones and Mooncobra had one also.
There was one particular tone I could get that I enjoyed, but it got old very quick.
I didn’t know they did this color in 09?
Awesome looking axe.
I’d love to have this, but I’m strapped.
The 08/09 Charvel USA guitars are just great sounding and great playing guitars.
Good luck with the sale.
I had an Emplexador for several years and my experience was not the same.
It was neutered in the top end and always felt too tame to compare to a raging Marshall.
Maybe it’s me, but without that upper midrange and treble, it just isn’t the same experience.
Derek St Holmes is grossly underrated as a vocalist and guitarist.
The First Whitford St Holmes album is a must have.
I’ll add, the St Paradise album is also great. Album cover is my avatar. Great tones and playing from Derek along with Denny Carmassi and Rob Grange.
The Cameron 3 channel I had sounded way better than that. I would never dial in that much gain though.
I don’t think Jason was really concerned with spending a bunch of time showing different tones. Cool to see him go through the amp though.
