    Anyone remember Axis Amps ?

I devoured every one of these GP magazines during the 80’s. That ad doesn’t ring a bell though. Interesting.

Well, that response did nothing to address the comment. Just sayin……

Too late now, Hiwatt DR103 Gilmour-spec build

I played Hiwatts for many years live when young. The Hiwatt circuit really doesn’t work unless your doing lower gain stuff or boosting with a fuzz. With some univibe and echo it sounds great. Otherwise, it’s really just a powerful cleanish tone as per Pete Townsend. I love Hiwatt. Just...

The Jimi Hendrix Experience at Monterey

Cranked NMV 50w Marshall through power station clip

Love this. Sounds great. I’d use this tone all day and just goose it a bit for leads. Still hard to beat a Marshall after all these years.

    Fortin amp is only 25k

I think this was posted in a light hearted manner. You guys need to lighten up. There are more serious issues to complain about. I always get a laugh out of seeing these.

For 72....Lou G sounds pretty damn good.

Guy is a monster singer. The first 2 albums are just classic. Saw them with the Baby’s and April Wine in the early 80’s. Great great show.

Modded Marshall Porn (Teaser Clip Added) ?

This thread is a great idea, but so far it’s like looking at a Victoria Secret catalog! Take the underwear off and let’s see what’s inside ?????

Richie Kotzen : Poison Native Tongue

I’ve never heard this Poison stuff with Richie. I love his playing and singing, but I simply cannot listen to Poison. Don’t care how good the leads are.

    John5 first show with Crue..

Never saw them when they were young and never wanted to. I cared for about 5 minutes when I bought Shout at the Devil, and then I was quickly over it. ???????

First (and second) clip of our prototype amp

That sounds really good to me. Not too polite, which I personally love. You can always add more to sweeten an amp up or give it some more “squish”, but once you take all that rawness away, it’s impossible to get it back. Hope that makes sense? Yeah, I’m digging what I hear there…..

    The new $1300 Les Pauls

I had a tribute about 10 years ago with P90’s and I thought it was a great guitar. Played great, sounded great and solid build quality. It’s stripped down for sure, but that doesn’t bother me. I actually love the satin finish as opposed to the thick clear coats. I’d give one a go if I was in...

Eddie Van Halen's Early "Guitar Player" Interviews in HD Audio

Great to have you here Jas! So much of my youth was spent pouring over your interviews. Great work you’ve done. I linked your 79 and 80 interviews with Ed here over the past few weeks. Your Jerry Garcia interview where you can hear him snortin blow while answering your questions was...

    Vintage Strobe Tuner

That is cool as hell. Sorry I can’t help with a schem. I have an old Conn that I need to refurbish too. I figure mostly needs the caps changed, but I haven’t looked at the guts at all.
