    METALLICA - 72 SEASONS (2023) [FULL ALBUM]

I really liked that cold, washy, reverby sound of 80s thrash/speed/power metal :( Had a cool character to it.

    Stage volume

My theory is the louder things are, the more strain on the eat drums which drastically changes your sonic perception. I honestly use in ear protectors to dampen the sound specifically cymbals. I have an AxeFX with FOH feed and then the secondary outputs running with no cab simulation to a...

Kirk addresses the internet trolls ( us )

Anyone who "responds to the internet trolls," already is showing a lack of intelligence. It's also the most obtuse way to show how insecure you are about your own ability by going online to try justify it to strangers. Kirk just needs to stop being a Lars and just enjoy the fruits of his labor...

Mick Mars sues Motley Crue…Nikki Sixx and other members prerecorded tracks

The "Just trust me bro, I won't provide any evidence though" defense diffidently didn't work in court for my public indecency charge.

AxeFX Ultra - All Legacy Software + Converters + Extra Patches

I put together all the legacy software for the AxeFX Ultra and presets a while back. These include all the rare Mark Day, Tesseract etc presets. Also many of the preset/IR conversion software that are hard to find online these days. Hope it helps \m/...

A good amp should record well.

I guess this is with the assumption the Mic and Pre are of decent quality? A bad set up can kill the capture.

    A poll about sloppy playing

I feel there are two types of Sloppy.... Sloppy due to feel - Fretting out the last note of an epic sweaty solo doing a "face". - Small mistakes in the heat of the performance Sloppy due to lack of ability - Disconnected left and right hand - No feel - Predictable patterns - Trying to play...

    Uli Roth's Influence on YJM

If you read his Auto-Biog he says he's not influenced by them. If you read the unofficial Biog it states he was obsessed with Uli and Blackmore. People tell stories of him copying these guys heavily in the late 70s in Sweden, buying the clothes, amp, guitars, scalloping etc. The only guitarists...

What kind of gear whore are you?

I deffo try to be the Utilitarian dude... I always appreciate the work of a decent sound guy, so I try to work for what is best for the venue. I take an AxeFX with L and R out for the desk, and a Poweramp to give me a little stage volume. At home, it's more about the big 80s racks and cool...

Just when you thought it was safe. Today's episode of Tim Henson on guitar

By this stage... about 10% of Timmy's income comes from Rig-Talk directed viewer ad-revenue :ROFLMAO:

Wow that's very kind of you to say! Light strings, lemon oil, and really wiggle that wrist. (Tall frets also helps with reducing friction.)

    Tonewood Poll

Nit pick away... we are discussing tonewoods after all haha! Honestly? Full on retardation, I just had a brain shart. Don't worry though, as soon as I find some killer space wood, Ill be sure to let Rigtalk know first.

    Tonewood Poll

Hahaha I'm a spud sorry I meant 5000 miles! 22k miles I'd be on another planet harvesting rare tone woods to sell on reverb at crazy prices haha

    Tonewood Poll

I'd love to but I'm about 22000 miles away :( Again I'm open minded to being proven wrong, I just haven't experienced it personally. It's also rare I'm around 2 identical built guitars just with different woods.

    Tonewood Poll

I wasn't making that argument. I was replying to: (And to your second paragraph I agree.) I agree. That's why I linked Luthiers explaining why tone wood doesn't matter rather than audio samples. Around 60+ over the years. Mostly swapped pickups, rarely stock. They all sustain, react, weigh...
