Hi everyone,
I've found I am very attracted to the modded Marshall builders mentioned here frequently (Friedman & Wizard for example). I think i'm covered there. But could someone give me some insight on the prototypical American high gain sound (Mesa, 5150?) that is different from the marshall...
Nope. I like a wide range but more skewed towards the heavier stuff in general (80's hard rock/thrash and into Death, Pantera, Lamb of God, Mastodon). Good to hear that speaker combo works for you for the more modern stuff.
Thank you for this! Good to hear. I'm guessing that is the 4x12 you have? Also, what types of music are you playing with the Hermansson just so I can get a sense.
Hi everyone,
I've enjoyed being part of the community so far. I really like the Friedman BE Deluxe amp as it covers a lot of ground for the genres I play. I have a couple other amps that cover super clean and super heavy. I'm just curious what cabinets people are using with their BE deluxe (50...
Thanks man - good to know. Was just seeing what ground those two amps could cover / how heavy they can go. That is helpful they can reach up to a DM type sound. Still torn on the whole MC2 vs MTL thing.
That's awesome. Ya I think the some of the cabs come with the option of the P50's or the newer Fane F70's which have been fairly well received from some folks here across different forums. I personally haven't tried them though. Cool to see they give you the option of both on the Fryette website...
Oh wow i did not know that! Love the fact that you can choose the speaker combination. Are the speakers split diagonally (top-right, bottom-left)? Also dumb question, with the v30 / H75 combo, do you put the v30 in the bottom and H75 on top?
That is really helpful. Yea I'm really wanting to try the v30 Creamback 75 combination. I have a 2x12 recto with the V30s so been wanting to try a different combination. The cream back 75/v30 gets a lot of love around here. I will need to try that out. Hoping to just stick with a 2x12 but I know...
Hey man,
What are your preferred cabs with the Monomyth and KSR? Feel like we're have pretty similar tastes and views on the different types of amp categories. I'd be curious to get your take on your playing style / genres you typically play.
Cheers,
I'm definitely new to the forum scene. Generally I had luck just googling certain gear I wanted an opinion on with hits from various forums. I started playing guitar when I was 14. It was a huge part of my high school years. Fell out of touch in my early - mid twenties but have since regained my...
