$426.50 for biasing new power tubes, replacing a preamp tube, and straightening out the transformer

Not to knock techs but that’s an offensive price. It’s maybe 2 hrs of work unless the tranny bolts are under the board. Next time if you buy the tools to do the tubes ($100ish) Il walk you through how to do it over the phone, as would a lot of people here I imagine.

Accidentally plugged in one amp output into another amp output. How bad did I screw up?

John Shur has a story about Reb Beach running an amp with no load, di only on tour for a long time. I think it takes a while esp with matched tubes.

Accidentally plugged in one amp output into another amp output. How bad did I screw up?

If you fired them up and they still work your good. If you haven’t fired them up you’ll never know. 90% chance your good. It happens.

    Any PRS players here? Opinions?

I hate PRS’s because the ones I’ve played play better than my les Paul’s and charvel. In my limited experience I think they’re necks and fretboards make them stand out. Haven’t played one through my amps so I can’t comment on tone. Only reason I don’t have one is I think they look goofy.

Trying to measure resistance on guitar cable to see if my guitar's pots/pickups are ok

Not exactly sure what all troubleshooting you have done but this is what I have done. First check your signal path with the meter on continuity. From the pickup out to pot in, then pot out, to selector switch, to jack (or however you have it wired) Then check every ground, might also be good...

Hopefully he’s doing well as still making stuff as I haven’t seen much in the past year. Also he has his new contact info on instagram fyi.

    Anyone Making Rack Preamps?

Could probably use a mail forwarder to grab a Myasnikov unit. Other guys here will know but even with our US sanctions I think he’s still able to get them through.

    Odd Intonation Question

To me it sounds like the nut could come up a smidge and or move the saddle forward. Kinda basic but I can’t think of anything outside of that. My ghetto solution for that is fill the nut slot up with pencil lead.

Seeking Where are all of the Cameron moded Marshalls?

Somewhat off topic, but why are people so secretive about Cameron schems when he essentially fucked over everyone he met? Seems like the first thing to do would be make the info available so people would avoid the temptation of mailing him an amp for service. (And if you have one and would like...

    Friedman Vintage Plexi

Same, for a premium price I’d go to someone like George M. The devils in the details and you can only make xicon resistors and synergy caps so good without nerding out on an amp by amp basis.

Kinda wish it had the normal 4 holes in a large headbox but that’s just me. Really wish he’d do the Jose stuff verbatim, and not just the one schematic everyone knows about.

    Changing electrolytic caps

Those are probably a giant pain in the ass, I think they probably used bus wire to ground them so you won’t be able to pull them out without pulling the board. But yes once you get new ones in you can fire it right up, no need to “form” the new caps.
