Top 3 favorite amps you have played

I agree. It’s like a modded multi-channel Marshall JMP with all the options. It’s awesome.

Headfirst Alta or Ground zero Hellion or Wizard

I have a Mesa Tremoverb, Mark IV, Bogner 101A, Mezzabarba Trinity and the Alta. The Alta has the most Marshall DNA out of all of my amps. It can absolutely do tight thrash stuff and looser AiC or Tool tones. It's super versatile and matches the Bogner or the Mark IV in terms of versatility. I...

Headfirst Alta or Ground zero Hellion or Wizard

At the time I needed the money, so I sold it, but I regretted it. I actually just bought a new revision 2 Alta directly from Jason. It’s awesome.

Headfirst Alta or Ground zero Hellion or Wizard

Highly recommend the Alta for modded Marshall and classic tones. Lots of flexibility and 3 channels. The other two amps stray pretty far from the standard Marshall sound.

I find it odd so many of the BAD SLO-100's are for sale used literally new in the box.

Thanks I’ll have to try it out. Mercuriall makes killer plugins

    Withdrawn Diezel Big Max

Herbert is going to sound bigger but also be more compressed

It might be because it has a loose playing response. Not a lot of people are prepared for that when they buy it.

    Strymon Power Supplies - Zuma

I’ve been gigging with the CIOKS DC7 for over a year with no issues if you’re interested in a different brand. They’re well-regarded.

For Sale Dimarzio SD / Norton / Custom

According to the model # on the sticker of the Duncan, that’s a Custom (SH-5), not a Custom 5 (SH-14). Just wanted to point that out

    Soldano SLO 100

The tightness or lack thereof depends a lot on the guitar, pickups, string gauge, where you pick the strings, and cab/speakers. Also I’d bet each person has a different definition of what “tight” is, so there’s that too.

Tightening the low end on a Mezzabarba Trinity (SLO circuit)

Not less fizz, but more defined frequencies in the 2k-4k range that add a bit more cut. I don’t know if I’ll end up modding the amp or not. Once it gets some volume it sounds great. And a boost pedal seems to be the easiest fix to get that added aggression when needed.

Sorry about your manhood and your shitty Mark 2C

Why don’t you guys stop posting his vids? These threads are always full of people whining about him. Do yourself a favor and stop watching or sharing his content. That’s what he wants.

    Friedman BE 50 Deluxe...Thoughts?

I don’t think anyone is ragging on him. It’s just enough people have played his amps now to form an opinion on them. Dave is an awesome builder and his customer service is exceptional.

    More Bogner Ecstacy Discussion

A lot of people talk up the older models with mercury magnetics transformers, but I was told direct from Jorg at Bogner that they only used MM power transformers for a bit before moving production to in-house:
