When I didn’t know any better I would record my 2203X on 10 into a Suhr reactive load because I liked the sound. It worked fine until the tubes/fuse blew.

There’s many different versions of the amp out there. Some are more compressed than others.

On the 101B the excursion switch changes between different negative feedback settings in combination with capacitors to tailor the low end. Tight = High NFB, no cap (I think) Medium = Less NFB, cap that allows some low end through Loose = Least NFB, large cap for most low end Someone correct...
