I always used a tripod against the back right corner of my board, it was a pain in the ass though. I had rearrange my board layout so my left foot could get to the couple of pedals I actually needed while I was at the mic.
This is the best photo I have.
I’ve got four 2x12 cabs with v30’s, so I’d say that’s my go to…
One I got from Splawn over 15 years ago, because the Eminence speakers I loved in my 4x12 for live use weren’t my favorite for recording.
A Mesa vertical that was a package deal with my mark V, which I kept because it’s the...
Yeah. A used American fender is a safe buy if you’re not sure a certain type of guitar works for you. They can always be resold without losing a ton.
I’ve never played a new one I’d consider at their current pricing. Pretty much all the higher end copies are a better value for around the same...
I can’t recall how many times over the years life has gotten in the way of playing & left me feeling that.
The more times I force myself to get back at it, the easier it gets. It helps if I make myself learn & play something different for a bit, that doesn’t feel so debilitating when I’m off my...
I try to stay in the 5-10 hours per week range.
Work days, I like to get in 15 minutes or so as best I can. Days off, I try to get at it for an hour or two.
My usual every day noodling, I just raw dog.
But at least a few times a week, I try to grab the metronome or at least a drum track & focus on improving something.
Something like that is what I would suspect.
I do that quite a bit with my FR guitars. Since I don’t really use them for recording or live shows, they just get tuned relative to themselves & are usually a few cents flat.
Around 8 lbs seems to be where most draw the line between light & heavy.
It’s not something I think too much about, when looking at guitars. know 6 lbs feels abnormally light to me, unless it’s a thin line. 10 lbs seems awfully heavy, for anything that’s not an explorer.
I actually used that out of boredom, and one of the names it suggested was "The Guitar Sisters"
Now I need to convince this cover band I've been jamming with that we should use it. :ROFLMAO:
I hate that generating clicks & views has become its own god awful genre of music.
But on the bright side, every time I watch the latest Andy Wood video on YouTube, I get about 15 minutes in before I feel obligated to go practice something I've been slacking on.
People love or hate them, I use elixirs on my acoustics. I live in the humid southeast where strings corrode easily, and I don't play acoustic often enough to wear them out quickly.
